http://paluminum.net/ - My site that this blog runs on got a complete recode today by me. I had been meaning to do it for awhile, and never got to it. It took all of 2 hours to write, and I am pleased with the result.
I wrote it in php (stuck with 4’s features on my current host, but plan on busting out some php5 stuff on my next host). It is currently all flatfile/static stuff. SQL powered features are planned in the future (an irc QDB, for instance). We’ll see what happens though. I use mod_rewrite to keep the url’s all pretty, as well as facilitate mapping stuff. More on that later.
I also have an imageboard now, powered by futaba board, and some slight mods and “translation” where I figured out what text was supposed to be. It’ll probably never be fully translated by me, but whatever. It’s a good script for image sharing and commenting. I do want to keep image posts limited to people i know/friends. Basically, I ask that you don’t post unless you’re a regular in #team862 on irc.rizon.net (no, it’s not the official robotics channel, we kind of broke off from it, which is funny since I founded/own[ed] both…)
Also, i realize that there futaba clones that use sql and stuff, and are fully english, but I wanted the simple single file setup that futaba used. A more robust system may be coming in the future (Danbooru or Shimmie maybe?), but for now, have fun with futaba.
