Oh right. I forgot about this. I blame school. Meh.
Its summer now, though, so I really just work alot and stuff. More time to internet and such…
Lately I’ve been playing Mabinogi and Touhou alot. Mostly Touhou 7 (PCB) and 8 (IN)

This is a post about michelle, the coolest person ever. She likes applesauce. She doesn’t care for anime (yet), but that could change. She likes Daft Punk now, and is going to see Justice with all of us.
She is strong willed, and according to matt, has a high vitality. She likes three scoops on her heart cones (<333). She somehow manages to spend tons of time on IRC without being a nerd (a very difficult thing to do).
Hmm, thats it for now, hopefully you all go away knowing a little more about michelle.
Freshman year sucks when you’re a CS major… all classes for CS majors have higher math classes as pre/co-requisites. So my freshman year is:
First term:
* Pre-Calculus
* Composition 105
* Anthropology 100
* Philosophy 105
Second term:
* Calculus I
* Psychology 170
* Humanities 100
* Economics 201 (Macroeconomics)
One of my favorite anime this fall has been Clannad. It probably helps that I am both a Key fan, as well as a KyoAni fan. Key is known for their great visual novel stories (Kanon and Air being the most well known), and Clannad is no exception. Kyoto Animation (KyoAni) brought us Air TV (an anime adaption of Key’s Air), Kanon 2006, Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuutsu, Lucky Star, and now Clannad.
Anyways, due to Clannad’s massive size (the visual novel’s script is longer than both Kanon and Air’s scripts combined) it seems that Clannad will run for 52 episodes, rather than the previously thought 24 episodes. This is great news to me, as I am really enjoying the show currently, and had some worries about whether the story could be told properly in the span of 24 episodes.
Some of my friends are going to be disappointed at this news though; KyoAni isn’t known to take on multiple projects at once, so this means the next Haruhi season/series won’t likely air until summer 2008.

With finals over and winter break starting up I’ll have a chance to finish up some anime from the summer, as well as knock a few off of my to-watch list.

Thats just some of my anime related stuff to post about for today. More general stuff coming tomorrow/soon.
I ordered a CycloDS Evolution for the Nintendo DS that I am getting for christmas. The cyclods seems to have tons of really cool features, and from all the reviews, is the best flashcart for playing homebrew games and backups. Unfortunately, getting them is somewhat difficult, as it seems the manufacturer is unable to keep up with the demand. My order placed over 2 weeks ago was backordered until Dec. 15 (today), but then upon checking mod-chip (the place I ordered from), the backorder date had been changed to Dec. 28.
I really hope I get it before or right after christmas. The whole reason I wanted a DS was for flashcart stuff (I want to make some homebrew software, play homebrew games, and yes… even roms).
I changed the way permalinks work. It used to be http://paluminum.net/blog/year/month/day/title/, now it is simply http://paluminum.net/blog/title/. If you link to any of my pages, please be sure to update your links.
Matt linked me to this post about bacon chocolate chip cookies with a maple cinnamon glaze. The post itself is pretty funny, with things like:
Typically, I would never advocate the addition of meat to a sweet cookie, but I’ve always viewed bacon as “the candybar of meats” so I only felt slightly weird about it.
After reading it, though I’m really curious… would it really be good? I think I’ll make a batch sometime just to find out. If I ever do, I will surely post about how they came out, and if they are good.
CSS is cool. I restructured the html on my main site to be friendly for doing entire “rethemes” using only css. I have 2 themes currently, and a javascript theme switcher that uses functions borrowed from this article over at A List Apart. A List Apart is one of the best sites for learning about standards compliant web design and best practices. I highly recommend reading it, I have been reading it for years.
Back to the topic of CSS stuff, I want to use Sandbox-10 for my WP theme. I have it installed on this server, but I haven’t had the time to do a stylesheet for it yet. I’ll make a few good ones sometime soon.
